5. Annotation: The annotation gives you a brief overview of the material.
6. Order Status: There are several possible terms that may show up here. "Present" means that the title has been put in the Library's inventory. "On Order" indicates that the title is not yet in the Library's inventory. "Removed" tells you that the title has been taken out of the Library's inventory.
7. Copies on Hand: If a number, (4) as in the example above appears here it is an indication of how many copies are on hand at the Library. If the word "Inventory" shows up here it indicates that there are no copies on hand.
8. Unfilled Reserves: This number tells you how many reserves have been place on this item.
9. Explicit Sex, Explicit Violence, Strong Language: A simple "Yes" or "No" following these headings indicate whether the material contains any of the three traits.
10. Publisher, Publication year : These fields show the company that published the material and the year of publication.
11. Narrator, Narrator gender, Narrator accent: These fields tell you the name of the narrator, whether the narrator is female or male, and whether or not the narrator has an accent. Occasionally you will see "Both" listed in the narrator field, indicating of course, that both male and female narrators were used.
12. Volumes/Containers: This field indicates if there is more than one container and volume of the material. The talking book, War and Peace, for example, would show 2 containers. The Braille version of War and Peace would show 14 volumes.
13. Number of tapes or record: Numbers in this field apply only to cassettes and the few recorded disks we still have. There are 2 cassettes in the sample record above. The novel, War and Peace has 11 cassettes.
14. Length: An indication of the book's length is found in this field. For example, The Meadow is short, War and Peace is long. Generally 3 or more cassettes or full Braille volumes are considered "long" books.
15. Language: This field tells you what language the material was published in.
